TRiO Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is a federally funded, pre-collegiate grant program designed to assist veteran students in their successful transition from military to postsecondary education. VUB is the first military pre-transition program in Duval and Nassau counties and is designed to help motivate and assist veterans in developing the necessary academic skills needed to accomplish their educational and professional goals. The program provides assessment and enhancement of basic skills through counseling, mentoring, tutoring and academic instruction in core subject areas with a goal of increasing the rate at which participants enroll in, and complete, postsecondary education programs.
