The Office of Supplier Development (OSD) is a specialized team dedicated to assisting Florida's small businesses. OSD provides guidance on doing business with the State of Florida, informs businesses about upcoming contract opportunities, and advocates for the continued growth and success of Florida's small businesses. Additionally, OSD plans, hosts, and supports business events targeted at small businesses in Florida. They also provide education and other resources to state government procurement professionals to help increase the use of small businesses in state and local government procurement contracts. Furthermore, OSD issues applicable state certification and recertification for Florida-based woman-, veteran-, and minority-owned small businesses.

Small businesses in Florida can apply for certification through the Office of Supplier Development (OSD) by following these steps:

  1. Register as a Vendor: First, register as a new vendor on MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) at vendor. Myfloridamarketplace.  
  2. Complete the Application: Locate the certification application at the bottom of the "Company Information" tab on your MFMP profile. Select the designations you qualify for and click "Certify."
  3. Gather Documentation: Review the Required Documentation List and gather all necessary documents.
  4. Submit Documents: Upload and submit your certification documents in your MFMP account for review by OSD.
