VERTICAL is an inclusive career readiness training program that offers adult students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to earn meaningful, industry-recognized credentials that lead to relevant employment in our community.

VERTICAL students will be immersed in the FSCJ experience and have the opportunity to:

• Actively participate in FSCJ classes on campus
• Join campus and community clubs and organizations
• Explore career interests and participate in internships
• Earn industry credentials that will be relevant to employment

Eligibility Requirements:

• Students must be 18 years of age or older
• Have a documented intellectual disability with an IQ of 70 or below
• Graduated high school
• Be able to independently perform classroom tasks, access transportation, provide self-care, and demonstrate appropriate behaviors
• Client of VR or willingness to become a client
