The Honors Program admits students entering college for the first time, students who have already begun pursuing their degrees at Florida State College at Jacksonville or other universities, and dual enrolled or Early College students. All Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree-seeking students meeting the appropriate criteria are encouraged to apply.
Students must have an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher to be eligible for the Honors Program. Two essays (250-500 words) and one letter of recommendation from an academic reference are required.
The Honors Program conducts a holistic review of all applications. Each applicant is considered for one of our Honors scholarships, and notifications of scholarship awards will be provided at the same time as admissions decisions. For more information, visit the Honors Scholarships page.
